Jamie Huntley-Park Women's Officiating Camp
presented by the Pacific District

We would like to invite you to the Jamie Huntley-Park Women’s Officiating Camp which will be held in conjunction with the 2022 Pacific District Girls’ Player Development Camp. The officiating camp will be held in Summerlin, NV at City National Arena and will start at 5 PM on May 12th and end at 4 PM on May 15th, 2022. Our educational camp is open to current female ice hockey officials and will feature classroom sessions, skating sessions, off-ice workouts, and the opportunity to gain experience working in both the 3- and 4- Official system.

The games you will be officiating will feature elite players from the Pacific District at the 14, 15, 16 and 17 age levels who are competing to make it to a USA Hockey National Player Development Camp. Participation in this camp will also fulfill the Level 2, 3, or 4 Seminar requirements of your USA Hockey Registration for the 2022–23 season.

Classroom sessions will feature discussions on officiating mechanics, positioning and rule knowledge with supporting sessions focusing on nutrition, fitness workouts and workout recovery. On-ice sessions will focus on skating fundamentals and will introduce officials to a variety of skating drills and tests. The camp curriculum is not designed to intimidate anyone, but rather, expose you to and educate you on the fundamentals of ice hockey officiating so that you may develop into a successful game manager.

This camp will feature an outstanding Staff consisting of experienced officials including Jackie Spresser (2022 Beijing Olympics), Alicia Hanrahan (2014 Sochi Olympics), Kendall Hanley (2022 Beijing Olympics) and Annette Lin (Washington State Referee-in-Chief). Also in attendance will be Pacific District Referee-in-Chief Dan Ellison.

If selected to attend, please bring all your officiating equipment, off-ice workout clothing, a water bottle and a pair of running/athletic shoes. You will also need to bring tools (notepad/pen, laptop) so that you may take notes during classroom hours. Additionally, we will be videotaping your games with audio feedback on them. If you would like to receive a copy of your game footage, please bring a USB flash drive with ample storage so that we may transfer these files over to you.

The camp will be limited to 20 participants and is open to officials who are 18 years of age or older. Applicants who are under 18 years of age will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
